I am having tough time coping up with the dial-up net connection, frequent power-cuts and my incessant
laziness. Well i am in home right now, returned on Thursday after 36 hours train ride and 2 hours travel on
road. Travelling in trains has always fascinated me because of the diversity it has to offer in terms of people,
language and above all the view outside. I have never lived in a village so its always exciting to see people work
in farms and other glimpses of rural life. I always dream that my train should pass through a dense forest and
there will be animals around, perhaps similar to the excursions shown on Discovery channel. But then i can
only hope.
Coming to people around this time; there was mostly engineering students from B’lore, probably returning
after final exams, there was one Tamil (perhaps in the army) and 2 men (related in some sense) and their
juvenile servant, poor chap had to bear a lot of their gaalis. Never expect me to start a conversation; none
started with me so i was silent for most of the time but deeply absorbed in The Alchemist. Its story about fate,
omens and bad lucks. Its about a Spanish shepherd, his bizarre dream of treasure in the pyramids and his year
long journey. The whole story revolves about omens and their importance in Arabian life. The irony of the
story was that the treasure was hidden at the place where the shepherd had the dream and he got to know of
this when he reached the Pyramids!!
But finally the silence was broken and i was asked the question "where do you study". My usual answer is that i
am doing engineering but few inquisitive people try to get deep into it and ask me about the college and when i
answer they are just mum(the agony of not qualifying can easily be noticed on their faces) . Few narrate their
stories of failed attempts at JEE and few wonder what IIT is!( and thats the most painful part of it, to explain
them i had to clear an all India level test and there was no donation involved!~!).
Now i am enjoying at home, good food and lot of sleep.

Now i am a salaried man
Finally Bala sir confirmed the project he promised. He will fix a stipend as well, that sounds exciting. Its always great to earn during student’s life. If i can make something out of this project and get a reco from Bala sir, its going to further boost my ap chances. But the schedule will be hectic and i need to manage my time judiciously. Planning to buy a bike, i cannot bear the bus travel any more.
I need to do packing tomorrow; finally ,my intern is over and now i can relax at home. Good food for a couple of weeks. It must be raining in Hazaribagh, i love the rain when i don’t need to go outside.
In afternoon again the topic of nisheeth came up. I just don’t want to write about him here. He is just a big ***********************.
Nothing much..
We are now dynamic
Nothing much during the day. Hey S the insti fianally went dynamic today. Well it means that the IPs of computer will keep changing as you reboot so that means there is no fixed IP and that implies no sharing on LAN or waste!! That sucks. They claim to to tighten security by this, I cannot comment on because my knowledge on this is as good as yours.
Chennai sucks!!
Chennai seriously sucks. Left late from office as i was waiting for Bala sir, but unfortunately he was very busy. So decided to take a bus. It was so crowded; those stinking tams were falling on me from all sides. And the bus was give-up, it halted at at every bloody stop even the mini buses went ahead of it. I thought of getting down at SRP stop but to my surprise it didn’t halt there, which i suppose was due to its stoppage at a signal before it. It kept going and i finally got down near the railway station, which was kilometers away from iit. I was so furious at the conductor but didn’t speak a word out, i have always been like this; har cheez to ghoont ghoont ke pii lena aur eek lafz bhi nahi nikalna. Kept on cursing the tams, this place and the bus. I missed my Asar due to the fucking bus. Couldn’t stop the tears coming out, i wish S was a reality and with me. I would have spoken my heart out at this. What made chennai get the metropolitan status is a mystery to me. Narrower roads, garbage all around, poor connectivity and above all the language Tamil. I have no idea how people manage with such a rude language, there is absolutely no sweetness associated with it. When someone speaks it is like he is throwing stones at you.
I am never satisfied with what i have; i already have a nokia 6600 but now planning to sell it and buy D500. There are so many people to talk to but i always look for S. But i have never been that close to them to tell all these, might be. I have many friends but that’ jigree yaar ‘ has always been missing from my life.
Tough day today
Got my second stipend. My excitement level has gone down. 2 months of hard work finally had its toll on me. It was tough living alone. I needed to talk to someone but there was no one to listen to me, so i thought of maintaining a blog where i can express myself. Don’t know whether i can maintain it after classes begin. Next semester will be very hectic shaastra, project in Proteck and those stupid courses (there are 2 courses of solar reddy next sem !!). But i am happy to be dual; no tension of CAT, GRE or aping. The Btechs are having a tough time coping up with them.
It was a tough day at office. Design can get on your nerves. I finally ended with 3 or 5 variables, banging my head all day trying to optimise them. It was like controlling many kids at the same time when you take control of one someone else runs away and when you control him someone else escapes!! Finally gave up in the afternoon. Lets see how things turn up.
