World’s highest fountain on a road!

SIX-YEAR-OLD KISHORE Kumar was sullenly walking out of Mahim station towards his school, when he suddenly saw a strong white jet of water at the corner of the road. His first reaction — “Aweeesome.

The spectacular fountain was a result of a major pipeline-burst near Mahim station on Saturday at about 10.30 am. “The feeder arm connected to the main pipeline, and which goes to the Malabar reservoir, is damaged, probably because of the wornout condition of the pipe, said a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official from the hydraulics department. Two people were hurt when the pipe burst and were given first-aid.

300th post on this blog

by Sharique on March 10, 2007

This is my 300th post on this blog. I remember when I shifted to my own domain name last August, after awestruck by the beauty of Patrix’s blog (it is now not as beautiful as it used to be), I just has 95 posts. This blog has traveled a long way since that eventful August, 2006. Serendipity now gets around 150-200 unique visitors each day (Short stats claims that figure to be around 400-500 but I wonder why it’s so high compared to google analytics). Google adsense income is around $ 2-4 per day, which is high by my standards. On few occasions its as low as $ 0.5 but average hovers around $3. Feedburner tells me that I have around 110 subscribers. The google PR is now 4 but predictions are that it will increase to 5 shortly. The most visited post, which will be a surprise to most of my regular readers, happens to be When Munna bhai is overtaken by Veer. (It has been viewed 2158 times)

You invest everything into the relationship in terms of hope, expectations, love, time, money and above all emotions. And if you are finally ditched by your sweetheart then what? You feel cheated, apoplectic and perplexed about future. You wonder how would someone else replace him/her. You are hurt emotionally and once your sweetheart is now your most hated person. You look for opportunities to take your revenge and pray furtively that he/she has a gloomy future ahead. The ambivalence of emotions between hatred and love leave you languished. You find it hard to concentrate on the job at hand and in the end up ruining your career, if you are not emotionally stable. And in extreme cases even suicide.

Women’s day message

by Sharique on March 8, 2007

I have nothing extraordinary to say but I wonder where are we headed. I think women today rarely suffer from male dominance. They really have changed things drastically. When Britney’s hair were up for sale for a whooping $1m, I thought she is now breaking the traditional male dominance over income market. When Mandira Bedi was hired as a cricket commentators, I though the TV has just got better in the lunch breaks. She too is giving men a tough fight in the money market, she is planning to sell her ‘one time’ used saaris on ebay. But when I read this

Chennai is a World Leader

by Sharique on March 7, 2007

People of Chennai search for ’sex’ more than any other place on earth. New Delhi comes second and most ridiculously Delhi comes third!

The top 10 list includes all the Asian cities.

Any particular reason for this?

For the search term ‘girl’ Chennai drops down to third place, New Delhi and Delhi leads this list
