There have been as many as 2 incidents of shooting in the campus of IIT Madras at 5 PM today. The first one occurred inside the Central Library and the other just outside the Library building. The shooter shot himself after killing at least 35 people. The shooter has been identified as final year Mechanical engineering student of the institute. His name is being withheld for security reasons as speculations suggest that he had more than 1 accomplice.
This shooting comes just 5 days after the deadly act by Cho in Virginia tech, which claimed 33 lives.

After marrying trees, Aishwarya is finally marrying Abhishek. I don’t give a damn about this wedding, even though the media has hyped it beyond limits. News channel and sites are filled with tales of their weddings with other news being pushed to the background.

So why did he shoot? Reports suggest that he was apoplectic when he discovered that his girl friend was cheating on him. But few questions baffles me
1. How did he manage to get a gun, being a foreign student? If he got it from his friend then how on earth he entered the university premises without getting detected? Or is it allowed to keep guns in dormitories?
2. Why wasn’t he stopped after the first shootout?
3. Where was Jack Bauer when all this was happening on US soil?

Technorati is the best place to look for blogs. I am really impressed by their bot which is so quick in updating. I prefer using it over google search or wordpress.com tag browser.
I understand that its really difficult for a personal blog which is non-techie to make it to top 100 favourite and I am not even attempting that! I am happy with the readership I have but would love to get new readers who are interested in the stuff I write. The thing is that I offer full feed so no one bothers to come to the blog to read. Secondly I get more than 50% of my visitors from google so that means they are just one time visitors who would never come back again. So why not build some readership with the help of fellow bloggers.

One of the best thing about living in a hostel is the bonds of friendships we develop during the course of time. These bonds are so strong that they tend to diminish the old ones. I am nearing my degree completion. It has been 5 years since I came here as a fresher. Things have changed for good, which I plan to write down after my thesis.
Hostel nights are the best part about our hostels. Check out the videos of previous hostel nights. Basically we write for each other, which is called (RG) Royal Garbage. I really don’t know what others have written for me because its not revealed before the event. Below is the RG I have written about my close friend, Toto, here.
