Banned..how dare u?

by Sharique on July 18, 2006

Blogs have revolutionised the way information is exchanged. It has given those suppressed voices a platform to express themselves to the world anonymously. Its just a matter of few clicks before one publishes his/her thoughts. Blogs of countries like China and Afghanistan have always attracted attention because of strict laws against freedom of speech in those countries. It has opened for them a window of opportunity to express themselves and let the world know about the atrocities and subjugation they are forced to live with. No one would have anticipated the popularity when blogs first appeared on the scene in 1998.

Blocking blogs is a political stunt which has the evil intention of restricting ideas to be transmitted or a particular ideology to be supressed. Few base this ban so as to curtail the free flow of messges among terrorists but does it really serve its purpose? There are n ways they can communicate..if now blogger then iblog :)

I really liked this statement from Jammy “Without Internet(read blog) I would lose half my life’s purpose”

Blogspot is being banned in many parts of the world. Even in India few ISPs are blocking it! Now this is a breach of freedom of expression. I can understand if the blockage is in china or pakistan but India!! Its a shame for our country if the approve an all out ban. Well did those bureaucrats really read those blogs? or they took terms like anti-UPA, anti-reservation and puppet Manmohan in the hands of Sonia Gandhi as terrorist ciphered language ;)

Well if the system administrators of IITM is listening then see this dude http://shaarique.blogspot.com/2006/07/research-in-iit.html and go ahead block my blog! as u did with the eboard..

Here is a way to access the blogger blogs http://www.pkblogs.com/ and here is one more Bypassing the ban

Update- Shit! Its official…those morons blocked my blog :( damn the sys admin IITM!

Update- Its back :) they seems to have realised their mistake

Stand for the freedom of expression! Please put this html on ur blogs

if they’d wanted to stop communication between terrorist cells, they should’ve blocked particular IPs and websites and not the whole platform!! useless cretins!! :P
