2. I’m a Tamilian, and I’ve lived in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore. Now, back to Chennai. If Chennai is shit, Gurgaon is drainage channel, and Mumbai is the ultimate drainage pool. (Again this is my opinion). In Mumbai all you get is dry Chappatis, and Puris everyday. The Dosa / Idli sold in Mumbai is NOT Dosa at all – that’s some crap.

3. You have the right to learn Hindi (and in addition any mother tongue – Marathi etc), and choose not to learn Tamil. The same way, we have the right to choose to learn Tamil, and not to learn Hindi.

Hindi is NOT a national language. Please register that in your heads. You have no right to say that Chennai people should learn Hindi. No body invited you to come here to work. You are an UNINVITED guest.

4. Tamilnadu / Madras DID NOT choose to be a part of India. India wanted Madras state to be a part of it. Learn history.

5. Oh yeah, and people that claim that Chennai “will not grow”, “is going down” etc – ohho! Please do some productive reading. Automobile, IT investments are continuing to grow in Chennai. Chennai is one of the fastest growing cities in India (Yes – Chennai WILL grow without you, even if you call it shit. Live with it)

6. Oh, and people talk about Chennai’s stinky crowds.. wow – Mumbai trains have the most-stinky, worst crowds (Again its my opinion). I’ve seen – even north Indians are scared of Gurgaon localites. Most north indians show their courage only on online forums. When a Gurgaon localite harasses them, they’ll keep quiet like a cat.

7. Finally, the very fact that you were FORCED to work in a city where you don’t want to be shows your incompetence.
