One of the best thing about living in a hostel is the bonds of friendships we develop during the course of time. These bonds are so strong that they tend to diminish the old ones. I am nearing my degree completion. It has been 5 years since I came here as a fresher. Things have changed for good, which I plan to write down after my thesis.
Hostel nights are the best part about our hostels. Check out the videos of previous hostel nights. Basically we write for each other, which is called (RG) Royal Garbage. I really don’t know what others have written for me because its not revealed before the event. Below is the RG I have written about my close friend, Toto, here.
The existence of NIFT has been a boon to IITians as they provide endless supply of forward looking and FRIENDS watching hot girls. Everyone seems to have benefited from this window of opportunity that Taramani gate opens for IITians. Toto is no exception but the only difference is that he tried to transgress the bounds of just NIFT and venture into other colleges. The result was that he had a healthy, romantically safe and adventurous relationship with a Bokaro ‘chick’ for 3 long years. But then the inevitable happened as that chick turned into hyena.
Stabbed on the back by his long term girl friend, he found solace in Art of living (AOL). The engagements in the AOL quenched every bit of remaining vengeance in him. Suddenly our man who used to spend 22 hours of the allotted 24 hours, per day, with girls was so embittered against the fairer sex that he even refused many proposals which came from AOL girls. But incidents makes someone only prejudiced, the basic nature remains the same. He was still a flirt at heart and thus never refused anyone directly. He dated every single girl who even remotely had any feeling for him, not just once or twice but innumerable times. His last relationship had left him under heavy debts so, which he claims to pay back only after his first salary in September, so that ‘innumerable’ unfortunately couldn’t become ‘infinite’.
He thinking these days has been heavily influenced by FRIENDS, the episodes of which he has watched religiously. He has now become very very broad minded and has risen above the mental level of an average Indian.
Scene 1 (2nd year) - Are yaar how could I have just kept friendship with her? Ab ladke aur ladki saath aayegi to payaar to ho hi jayega. Love is so beautiful and I recommend everyone to fall for it.
Scene 2 (5th year) - Why do you guys take every relationship between a boy and girl to be love? You have the typical Indian mindset. Why can’t I and ‘S’ can’t just be friends? And how can any sane man fall for a girl, especially Bokaro girls!!
He did not shed a single tear when his childhood crush was married recently. But he is hopeful that promiscuity will show its ugly face soon and convert his childhood fantasies into reality.
All these failed relationships have made him a veteran. Others consult him on the matter of love and seek his blessings for a successful love life; his only word of advice for them, “ naari jaat par kabhi bharosa mat karma
