So when did i completely support reservations? I suggested a time frame for it to be valid. Btw education in all government colleges is subsidized be it for forward class or sc/st because its necessary.

I agree with Sharique almost completely. And about him not accounting for some people, he is true about most of them. His intention as I understand it is to highlight the very fact but not to shadow those who are already good.

I do want these underpriviliged people to come up. To step towards success. But I don’t want to become the stepping stone. To preserve the interests of a section of people, some other sections should not be made to sacrifice.

And equality will be achieved if the process starts from the roots, right from primary school onwards (as Sharique rightly says) and not at the graduate level.

I agree with that point and that’s why i never wrote anything in supoprt of that insane act (if it’s really true)

Its because i didn’t include them as it was not a comprehensive article but a very specific one but still i believe that there are very few reserved category candidates who do well and then u see expections prove the rule

Thats a very generalised statement. I know people who got good cut off, went thro OC and didnt do well in IIT, and I know people like Sachdeva who went to IIT, who were SC and got gold medals…
