No Eid tomorrow wtf! The reason, the bloody chaand didn’t show up!! It was a setback to me, well not just a setback but this news sent to deep chasm of frustration, when she told me there is no Eid tomorrow. It was like telling a eagerly dresses bride that her marriage has been canceled because of mahurat mismatch!
Its been 5 years since I celebrated Eid at my home. Last year was a disaster, because of other reasons which are beyond the scope of this post. I was hoping of a peaceful Eid this year but alas I can only hope. For the first time in 5 years I had new clothes to put on for Namaaz but now because of exams I cannot even do that!! It will be just another day for me as it has been for the past 5 years. Chennai sucks when it comes to good food on Eid. Once we went to the Badi Masjid in Royepattah hoping to get something good to eat but unfortunately there were no eateries open and on the top of it I was pissed at the caravan of the local Nawab for the Namaaz, damn he came with his lashkar consisting of horses and dressed men!!
Update: As I write this news has just poured in that Eid will be celebrated tomorrow not just in TN but all over India.

Eid…is dat how u spell it exactly? I thought it was Id. Anuyway, today my dad got hol becuz of Id only! So in bokaro aaj hi Id manaya ja raha hai…one muslim family lives in our block and I was with them the entire day!! Ohh what fun!!
