This is bringing it down to semantics because the answer to your question would depend on how you define ‘basic’. If that means the ‘first few building blocks’ of something upon which you build then I’d say science is more basic. Man’s lifestyle evolves based on each new finding of his, and most if not all of those findings are in some way ’scientific’. They all begin with observation followed by a hypothesis, then some research, an extended period of hands-on application and eventually a theory is born; a scientific process no doubt!

However, as you pointed out yourself, language is an essential component of this scientific process because this process cannot be conducted in a social vacuum. Given that, language becomes mandatory; the tool with which to communicate in a social setting.

So Science and language seem to be intertwined inextricably; both are as basic to human development.

YES!I WAND KALAM TOO!!!

i actually walked out(and later got screwed ofcourse) for walking out on a human rights class(run by a guy who runs a human rights ngo) cuz he said kalam doesnt know anything about nucleur energy.bleah.the nerve of him.he also said that manmahoan singh doesnt know anything bout economics.i say that that guy doesnt know anything about human rights.:D:P

I want Kalam to continue as President but who cares for public opinion. No political party is coming forward to support Kalam as president and they are the one who matter. :sad:
