I have been using Firefox for over an year now but now planning to shift to Flock. Well the reasons, here they are:
1. RAM usage. Occasionally the RAM usage shoots up to more than 200 MB and then my whole system collapses. I have heard that they plan to improve this in the new version 2.0 so lets wait and see but I am not very hopeful
2. Extensions. Whenever I upgrade my Firefox version I have compatibility problems. Many of my extensions don’t work, in spite of using Nightly Tester Tool. So I have to change the settings again and again.
3. GMAIL. I am a frequent Gmail user. All my mails come there and I have to be online most of the time to check my mail. But most of time Firefox gives up showing this error message.
In fact IE7 or Flock never give me this problem. No doubt the Gmail manager extension is helpful but still what’s the point if Gmail doesn’t open.
4. Of late I have been observing few problems which have no explanation. I try loading my blog in the both the browser. Both took the same time but Flock quickly loaded the Ajax based page scroller.
But Firefox couldn’t load
Sometimes my blog doesn’t even load! And I took that as some problem with my hosting server or a plugin problem. DamnI uninstalled all the plugins. I later realised that it has to do with my browser.
No doubt Firefox is a great companion, especially with enhanced security and RSS feeds, but I think its time Firefox looks into these problems. A browser which has to be one stop at internet. RSS reader, Email, Blog, News ticker, Social networking interface (Orkut etc.) so that i don’t need to login to every site to check whats latest.

I’m sorry about your problems with Firefox. I’ve been using this software for almost two years now and has worked like a Swiss clock.
If you are seriously thinking about switching to another browser, I strongly suggest you give Flock a whirl. It’s an excellent tool for blogging, sharing photographs, reading RSS news and searching for information.
Right now it is my default browser closely followed by Firefox.
Good hunting,
Omar.-

Hi Sharique:
Good news about your upgrade and importing Firefox’s bookmarks. FYI, Flock will have a patch available on September 12th which will fix a memory leak problem which has been daunting the browser for quite some time.
I enjoyed reading your post and the layout of your blog is absolutely marvelous. Congratulations!
Flock rocks!
Regards,
Omar.-
